ART ATHINA OPEN STUDIOS
Since 2018 Art Athina collaborates with the Young Patrons of the Museum of Cycladic Art to organize visits to studios of artists living and working in Athens. Furthermore, during the pandemic the program continued through the Art Athina Virtual Studios where the Young Patrons had the chance to also meet Greek artists living abroad, such as Konstantin Kakanias in Los Angeles and Panos Tsagkaris in New York.
RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Since 2017 Art Athina Residency Program invites international artists represented by the exhibiting galleries in the sections Highlights and Feature of the fair, to spend 30 days in Athens. The artists get to know the city and get inspired and create the artworks that will be presented later at the art fair. In the past years, Art Athina has hosted artists from Europe, United States and Australia.

For 2022 Art Athina has joined forces with Brown Hotels in order to deliver the program. The invited artists are provided by Brown Hotels, with a studio for the whole duration of their residency, located just a few hundred meters away from the best contemporary art galleries of the city. 

Artists participating between April and August 2022 include: Emma Kohlmann (V1 Gallery, Copenhagen), Bradley Kronz (High Art Gallery, Paris), Tamo Jugeli (Gallery Art Beat, Tbilisi).

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
At its fifth consecutive year, the Educational Program the Hellenic Art Galleries Association in the context of Art Athina continues to connect fine art and art history and theory students, to practicing visual artists and theoreticians, as well as gallery directors, informing and preparing them for their professional life after university. The Program is conducted in collaboration with Athens School of Fine Arts and, for the first time, the Fine Art Department of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, and directed by Daphne Politi, Head of the Educational Program (2020-2022).
